Our land, known as the State of Mathias El, serves as the seat of our tribal government. This land holds historical significance and is governed under applicable provisions of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), including Section 106, which ensures the protection of historic properties. It is also managed in accordance with the annotation 525.0010, which recognizes government lands held in trust by tribal governments for the benefit of their tribes.

Chief Mathias El also leads the National Indigenous American Committee (NIAC), known as the American Indian Party. Established on February 10th, 2022, NIAC is a registered 527 political organization dedicated to advocating for the autonomy and sovereignty of Tribal Nations and American Indian communities. Through this role, Chief Mathias El strives to protect the rights, heritage, and sovereignty of Indigenous peoples of North America.
